You must update your MCS-150:

1. Biennially (every 24 months) based on the specific schedule tied to the last two digits of your USDOT number. The final digit indicates the month you must file, and the second-to-last digit shows whether you do this in an odd or even year.
2. Within 30 days, whenever critical changes occur—like a new address, expanding your fleet, changing ownership, or altering contact information.
3. Before starting operations, if you’re a brand-new carrier or broker.

Following these guidelines helps avoid penalties and ensures your USDOT number remains active.
